Anode Material Series

The anode is connected to the positive pole of the power supply in the electrolytic cell. The current of the power supply enters the electrolytic cell through the anode along the external circuit, and the electrons leave the anode under the action of the external power supply and flow to the cathode through the external circuit. The anode is insoluble in the electrodeposition process and used only as a conductor and for the discharge of associated ions in solution, and what occurs instead is the process of oxidation of negative ions into neutral molecules for precipitation or oxidation of low-valence positive ions into high-valence ones.

Copper Anodes

Copper electrodeposition is the process of obtaining copper through metal deposition in copper-rich liquid by the electrodeposition method, which is the last process of producing copper by the wet method. In the leaching-extraction-electrodeposition process, water is decomposed on the anode to precipitate O2, and the cathodic process is the same as electrolytic refining, i.e. Cu2+ obtains electrons on the cathode and precipitates copper. Pb-based alloy anode plates with a lower corrosion rate are used.

Zinc Anodes

In recent years, Pb-Ag binary alloy anodes, Pb-Ag-Ca ternary alloy anodes, Pb-Ag-Ca-Sr quaternary alloy anodes and Pb-Ag-Ca-Sr-Re multi-element alloys have been selected and used by more and more metallurgical enterprises. Such anodes have such advantages as high strength, corrosion resistance, long service life, low cost, high conductivity, low electrical energy consumption, and high-quality zinc output.

Manganese Anodes

Calcium and strontium alloys are added to the electrodeposited manganese anode plates, thus increasing the crystallinity of lead alloy, refining the lead grains, and making the anode plates have good mechanical properties, high conductivity, high corrosion resistance and other characteristics.

Nickel Anodes

Nickel extraction by electrodeposition is performed in mixed electrolyte system of chloride and sulfuric acid. The anode used for nickel extraction by electrodeposition is required to be stable, corrosion-resistant and durable, with good electrocatalytic activity in the usage of anode, in order to reduce the overpotential and cell voltage of the anode.
